To mark the 50th anniversary of the watch OMEGA gave to astronauts in 1969 to celebrate the first moon landing, the brand has produced this Speedmaster in a limited edition of just 1,014 pieces, powered by the manual-winding Master Chronometer Calibre 3861.
This commemorative timepiece is crafted from 18K Moonshine™ gold. The vertically brushed \"step\" dial, also in 18K Moonshine™ gold, features faceted onyx hour markers. Inspired by the 1969 timepiece, it features the addition of burgundy accents on the ceramic bezel, caseback engravings, and movement.
The decorative inner caseback ring, crafted from blackened 18K Moonshine™ gold, features a partial map of the American continent and a domed lunar meteorite insert, reflecting the true proportions of the Earth and Moon.
